(open scene)

Zakiya is pinned down on a conveyor belt, in a mountain tunnel hideout belonging to High King Fructoz.

An entire vat of High Corn Fructose Syrup was dumped all over her.

And now the conveyor belt is inching her closer and closer to her doom.

The yellow substance clings to her uniform.

Zakiya is at a loss for what to do!

The conveyor belt is moving her closer and closer to the edge of the alligator pool.

The snapping jaws of the powerful animals below snap her out of her fear.

If she doesn’t figure a way out of High King Fructoz’ deadly corn syrup…

she’ll be an afternoon snack for the powerful giant reptiles below.

Unfortunately, the syrup has made her so dizzy, that she can’t use her powers!

Managing to get one hand free from the corn syrup, she presses her Twin Power button

And desperately hopes her brother gets the message.

(scene)

School soccer practice.

Zak gets a frantic message from Zakiya.

‘What! What is Zakiya doing at High King Fructoz’ lair?’

He’s got 39 seconds to get across town.

Before his sister becomes a tasty alligator treat.

Zak quietly slips off the field when the coach isn’t looking.

It’s Z time.

39 seconds: Run into boy’s bathroom.

38: Open backpack,. Pull out costume. Change into costume.

37: Zip out of bathroom.

36: Check Global Positioning System. Find out where Zakiya is. 12 miles away? No problem.

35, 34, 33, 32: Run like the wind. No. Faster than the wind.

31, 30, 29: Dodge cars on the highway. They’re so slow.

28, 27: Getting close. Slow down!

26: Inside that cave. And up the mountain. That must be his secret lair.

25: Run so quickly past infra-red security beams, that they don’t even realize I’m here.

24: These automated defenses are advanced! The steel door just shut behind me.

I guess we’ll need to find another way out.

Zakiya’s signal is much stronger. Must hurry!

23, 22, 21: Oh no!

“High King Fructoz’s trap is a clever one.

He was expecting me!

Corn machine guns!!!

Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!”

20, 18, 17, 16, 15:

“Time to go Matrix on King Fructie here.”

Zak starts to move at super speed.

Unbelievably, he is now dodging every single kernel of corn being shot at him!

Now he’s running right at the corn machine gun and…

he’s vibrating his hand on the side of the gun so fast…

It’s heating up…

so much smoke…

BOOM!

(machine gun explodes. There is corn everywhere.)

14, 13: Zak vibrates himself right through the next steel door. Piece of cake.

12, 11: He crawls through a tiny squeeze tunnel, and gets into a cave near the top of the mountain.

Zakiya is trapped on a moving conveyor belt… sealed to it with corn syrup.

10, 9, 8: “IT TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH, Zak!”, yells Zakiya.

“Do you know how uncomfortable this is?

And I’m going to have to wash my hair too?”

7: “Relax, sis.” Zak laughs.

6, 5, 4: Zakiya’s face turns a deep red.

“THIS IS NO TIME FOR LAUGHING, Zak! IF YOU DON’T GET ME OUT OF HERE THIS INSTANT, I’LL…”

3, 2: Zak springs into action.

He leaps onto the conveyor belt.

Puts his hand on the rock-hard sticky syrup.

And vibrates it so fast, that the sticky substance EXPLODES!

There is syrup everywhere. Most of it falls on the alligators down below.

1, 0: Zakiya flies off the conveyor belt, just in time. Arms crossed.

“Zak, ARE YOU SERIOUS? I could have been alligator toast!”

Zak laughs, in a “come on now, would I let that happen?” sort of way.

“I don’t think alligators like this flavor of syrup on their pancakes, anyway.”

He casually puts his finger into the syrup and tastes it.

Even as Zakiya lunges at him, screaming: “NOOO, Zak!”

Too late.

Her brother was always too fast for his own good.

The minute the High Corn Fructose Syrup touches his tongue, Zak started to inflate like a giant balloon.

“Wha… what’s happening, Zakiya? Why am I getting so fat!”

Zakiya leaned back against the cave wall, as Zak’ bulbous belly and inflating torso pushed her out of the way.

“Whenever you eat High Corn Fructose Syrup, it makes you get bigger, and bigger. It’s the balloon effect.

It’ll wear off after a few hours. But in the meantime…”

The rest of her answer is lost as Zak starts to weep.

“Zakiya! Make it stop! I’m sowweeeee!!” (sobs)

“I’ll never play pranks on you again! I’ll clean my room! I’ll be good! Hee-he-heeeeeelp!”

Zak is as big as a real hot-air balloon now .

He floats out over the alligator pool.

Zakiya flies behind him, holding her sides and laughing so hard it hurts.

They make their way home like this.

With Zak floating, and Zakiya cracking jokes as she flies behind him.

By the time they get home, Zak is back to his normal size.

Zakiya uses her powers to lower him to the ground, right into the prickly bushes behind their house.

“YOOOOOUCH!”, yells Zak, rubbing his bottom.

“Next time don’t make me wait so long, Zak. Or should i say: Balloon boy?”

She giggles.

Zak pulls a prickly leaf from his bottom, wincing as he does so.

“We still have a problem though.

High King Fructoz is still on the loose.

And we don’t know where he’s going to strike next.”

Zakiya counters.

“I think we have a pretty good idea.

The circus is in town tomorrow.

We’ve got to shut him down before he gets all those kids floating off like you did…”

High King Fructoz:

Powers

Emits a sugary-sweet, sticky substance (High Fructose Corn Syrup just use the acronym HFCS ) from his fingers.

The substance traps anything it touches for hours.

Also, the vapor from the corn syrup makes subjects dizzy

One taste of it, and it immediately causes the subject to (temporarily) become obese!

The subject starts to crave more and more food, eating uncontrollably, until they get terribly obese!

What’s up, Zobolover!
As you know, here at Hemisphere Beverages and Zobo Love, we’re all about:

Anyway.
When we embarked on this journey, a year ago, to create a healthy all-natural and convenient drink, we had no idea that one of our biggest fan bases would come from… kids.
Zobo has apparently become a hit with kids on several contintents. LOL!
So this year, we decided …

As you know, here at Hemisphere Beverages and Zobo Love, we’re all about:

“love for self, love for fam, and love for we really are (am?)”

Anyway.

When we embarked on this journey, a year ago, to create a healthy all-natural and convenient drink, we had no idea that one of our biggest fan bases would come from… kids.

Zobo has apparently become a hit with kids on several contintents. LOL!

So this year, we decided to really give the kids more of what they are craving.

Not just healthy drinks, but healthy entertainment as well.

It’s More Than Just Sodas Polluting Our Kids

We all know that kids today are unfortunately exposed to way more than their fair share of inappropriate media.

I won’t elaborate on that – you all have seen it, too.

Just walk through any checkout aisle in the grocery store, and see what’s at kids’ eye-level.

It Shouldn’t Be That Way.

Who’s Getting It Right?

We think stuff can be FUN, COOL, ENTERTAINING…
but also educational, morally uplifting, inspirational, and encouraging of healthy living.

We applaud old school shows like Sesame Street, Electric Company, and so on.

But we also salute new school shows like Super Why, The Backyardigans, Little Bill, Dora the Explorer, and so on.

Their associated books are great as well.

Shows that not only entertain, but also equip our kids to be the best they possibly can.
.

But What About Tom & Jerry?

Hey – don’t get me wrong. We love the Tom & Jerry’s, the Alvin & the Chipmunks, the Pinky & the Brain’s as much as the next person!

There’s definitely a place for mindless hilarity, for kids AND for adults.

But beyond that, our kids do need more positive messages to reinforce what their parents are teaching them at home.

We hope to throw our hat into the ring – and broaden our message of healthy living beyond DRINKING good stuff, to DOING good stuff.

We’re working hard to provide more edutainment, for kids reading pleasure, viewing pleasure, and the like.

.

What say you, Zobo Lovers?

Is this something worth getting behind?

Give this a LIKE and a SHARE on Facebook, if we have your support.

Leave us a comment, letting us know what your favorite shows were, growing up.

.

It’s soaking my shoes! Aaargh!

If the creepy little man sneaking around Daddy and Mommy’s lab finds us in here…

Because of my brother’s DRIPPYNESS…

I’ll…

“They’re messing with Dad and Mom’s stuff!”, whispers my brother loudly.

Too loudly.

He had never been good at whispering.

“SHH!”, I put my finger on my mouth and frown at him.

The creepy little guy in the shadows just stopped what he was doing, to listen.

“Don’t! Move!”, I growl at my brother, between my teeth.

He sticks his tongue out at me. But he stays put. He’s as scared as I am.

Creepy guy goes back to stealing our parents stuff.

He’s copying their notes with some fancy scanning machine.

We’ve got to DO something!

I press my eye closer against the crack in the door closet. Trying to get a better look.

“Ouch, you stepped on me!”, whispers drippy boy angrily.

I ignore him.

Dad and Mom had better get here soon! We texted them 3 minutes ago!

They’ll be so crushed that this horrible guy is messing with their formula.

All this research on naturally occurring super plants, has been part of our lives for a long time.

They’ve dedicated their lives to helping kids be healthier.

After seven years, Daddy and Mommy (both scientists) had finally discovered a unique combination that would change things forever!

They were calling the formula…

Super Z One Hundred and Eight.

(Why 108? The first one-hundred-and-seven tries at making Super Z, well… failed miserably.)

That huge container with the red stuff in it is the only supply of Super Z 108 anywhere in the world.

Scientists from around the world have been calling and calling.

Some fancy-sounding magazines, too.

They all want to know how to make it…

How to use it…

Daddy and Mommy don’t mind sharing with the world.

It’s why they do this. To help people.

But first, they have to learn how to re-create Super Z 108.

“I’m hungry. Help me get this juice box out of my back pack.”, said my brother… rubbing his grumbling tummy.

WHAT!

How can he think of food at a time like this!

Suddenly, we hear a noise.

The bad guy has thrown a hose into the huge Super Z mix, and is trying to steal it!

“We’ve got to stop him now!”, I whisper sharply.

All of Mommy and Daddy’s work… it’ll be GONE before they get here!

My brother says: “It could be dangerous….

CRASH!

(DISASTER!)

My brother slips on the huge puddle of juice now on the closet floor, falls against the closet door, and lands with a huge THUD!

Right beside the strange man!

AAAAAAAH!!!

The man doesn’t look too pleased.

“Get out of here right now, mister!”, I yell at him.

He doesn’t get out. In fact, I think he’s about to grab us both.

RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!

He’s dropped the hose, and is chasing us around the lab.

Super Z 108 is spilling all over the floor, everywhere.

Creepy guy is about to catch us!

Just as he lunges for us, we duck, and he crashes into the Super Z container!

SMASH!!!!!

oh NO!

SUPER Z IS SPILLING EVERYWHERE!

It’s all over us! NO!

“Mommy and Daddy’s work – it’s ruined!”, I gasp… choking on the Super Z.

There’s so much Super Z 108 everywhere that all sorts of chemicals and things are being knocked over.

The thieving man is soaked as well.

But just then, we hear police car sirens.

The man stands there for a minute.

He points a finger at my brother and me.

He looks pretty angry.

And then…

He runs off.

Seconds later, our parents crash through the door with the police right behind.

We’re finally safe.

But the Super Z 108…

Is gone forever.

drip.

drip.

drip.

I turn around, to see my brother drinking loudly from his drippy juice box.

He doesn’t even seem to notice, that he’s soaked in Super Z 108 too.

What a mess.

“What were you kids doing in here?!”, Mommy asks, hugging our wet bodies.

“Peanut-head over here left his soccer ball in your lab yesterday.”

“We just came to get it on the way to sports practice”, I said angrily…

shaking from the cold liquid all over me.

Well, really I was shaking from being scared.

But let’s blame the cold liquid.

My brother sticks his tongue out at me again.

Then goes back to sucking on his precious juice.

drip.

Okay – so in case you haven’t heard, the state of Georgia has the second-highest percentage of obese children in the United States.
And people are reacting to that in different ways.
The Georgia Children’s Health Alliance had an ad campaign created, called “Stop Childhood Obesity”, that features four overweight kids.

With billboards all over Columbus, Georgia, local residents have mostly been shocked and angered by the ads… expressing concern for the kids’ self esteem.

The cabinet chair of the Georgia Children’s Health Alliance took questions from local News viewers about the controversial campaign.

“Seventy-five percent of parents of obese kids do not acknowledge that their kids are obese,” Frieson said.
“Until that happens, we’re afraid there will be no traction around this issue.”

Our lives are so busy these days, that physical activity often takes a back seat to working, doing chores, running errands, cleaning up, etc. etc. etc.
But what habits are we forming… and what habits are we teaching our kids?

Pretty cool…

Check out the article (it has audio as well – so you can listen to it).

The first-hand narration of how some of the kids spend their time after school is depressing.

Yeah – it’s easy to think about really obese kids, and wonder how they got that bad.

But I wonder about the rest of us who, while we may not be obese, certainly are living a much more sedentary lifestyle than when WE were kids.

Before the era of video games, cable TV, laptops, iPads, xBox, and so on.

What’s your take on the childhood obesity epidemic?

How has your level of activity changed, from when you were a kid, until now?

Have your say.
